There are different reasons why all our engines are based on a 2CV-crankcase. The advantages of the 2CV-crankcase are:

• The alloy of the 2CV-crankcase is better, more solid and more reliable than the alloy of the Visa-crankcase
• You can use the original ignition
• The 2CV-crankcase is easier to find and therefore cheaper
• The engine will look like original on the outside. So no one can see if your 2CV has a 602cc, 652cc or 720cc engine. Even for the bigger engines we use the 2CV-crankcase, so only the cylinders and cooling panels differ from the original engine. One will hardly notice this.
