Brake cooling system

Originally Citroën cooled the discs instead of the calipers. For many 2CV’s this original cooling system was left out during times (because it is difficult to mount, you can hardly reach it, and… the effect of this cooling system is very poor. The brake disc is originally cooled instead of the caliper. With many 2CVs, this original cooling is omitted due to difficult place, you cannot reach it, ... On top of that, the impact of the original cooling system is very small.

From our experience we know that after a few hours of driving, both engine and gearbox reach quite high temperatures. Since the engine, gearbox and brakes are all connected and all made out of aluminum, they will reach the same temperature. This can cause safety issues (boiling brake fluid).

We offer a new brake cooling system that is easy to assemble and works more efficiently than the original system. The cooling system is preformed, you can mount this quite easily on your 2CV / Dyane / Ami / Méhari / ... It might be necessary to slightly bend the hose for the air supply.

If you want to mount this system to a Ami8, you need to make some extra modifications. The calipers are mounted in the opposite way for this car.
