Often there’s an extra oil cooler mounted, for example in race-engines, tuned engines, offraod engines, … Especially with the larger engines, we also highly recommend to install an extra cooler if you go to warmer regions (Spain, France, Africa, ...). As well as for driving offroad, with lower speed and higher RPM, the engine warms up faster because of insufficient wind.

The oil cooling system serves to prevent overheating of the engine. An engine can attain extremely high temperatures, so the generated heat needs to be removed as soon as possible to prevent the engine from burning. Another function of the oil cooler is to monitor the temperature and to keep it at a constant level.

For these coolers we also make standard supports. So you can easily attach the oil cooler to the cowl panel, in conjunction with the (de)mounting kit for the wing valence panels, the heat from under the bonnet can then be easily led away.
